Reflecting on the various technologies / software we have explored this semester, pick the three (3) that will most effectively help you create a learner-centered classroom where students would be actively engaged this their learning. At the beginning of your final blog entry mention the content area and the age level of the students with whom you intend to work.
Briefly explain how you would integrate these choices into your teaching and your future students' learning.
As I mentioned numerous times throughout the semester, not every technology is appropriate for every learning situation. As such, which technologies/software are not appropriate for your content area and/or student level. (Discuss at least one.)

After I Graduate I am planning on teaching either kindergarten or first grade in the content are of math.Out of every assignment that we did for etpt2020 the three that I would use in my class would be concept mapping(kidspiration), newsletter and databases .

In order to use these types of activities with my future students learning I would do different things. Like the concept mapping with kidspiration is a good fun way to teach children in Kindergarten how different colors or letters are pronouced because you can put sounds behind them so when they click on them they hear and repeat. They can also learn shape patterns or the value of coins or so many other things because kidspiration has so many different possibilties of teaching them in a fun educational and technological way. The newsletter would be used so that me and my future students would work together as a class to make one and they would tell me what to put on it so i could tell they were understanding what I was teaching them. Also I would use databases to help students visually see what things match up with other similar objects or how they are different from other things. It is also good for them to start learning how to read and use graphs.

The one thing that I think might be alittle hard for my students is the geotechnologies. It would be fun as a class experience but there is not much that you can do with it that younger children would understand and be able to use or navigate by themselves.

  1. Alexis, you provide some great examples of how you would use specific technologies, and I agree with your point on the Geotechnologies. The Sea Turtle activity is one what GeoTech "could" be used with young children. CB
